Police in Massachusetts say a statue of baby Jesus was stolen and swapped with a pig's head outside a church on Christmas morning, according to Fox 25 in Boston.
The pig appeared to be freshly decapitated, according to police.
Pastor John Delaney, who runs Sacred Hearts Church, said he was horrified by what had occurred.
"It's just a really hurtful commentary on society," Delaney said. "And for someone to do this sad deed is really shocking."
The Sacred Heart Parish in Haverhill is in a prominent spot on Main Street. The church has experienced vandalism in the past. The two hands of the Jesus statue at the church were cut off, according to the pastor.
So far, no suspects have been named, according to Fox 25.
