A California man tried to hide from police by spray-painting his face black, according to ABC 30 in Fresno.

Police said Jose Espinoza, 23, was running from a stolen car on Saturday night. They arrested him later that night after seeing through his poor attempt at camouflage.

Espinoza's head and neck were spray-painted black.

As ABC 30 put it, his attempt to hide himself "obviously did not work."
