An explosion at a Miami Beach high-rise building has caused multiple injuries.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident took place in a boiler room, and the explosion may have been caused by a gas leak.
The injured are primarily being treated for burns. Pedestrians below were reportedly injured by falling concrete from the blast.
The number of injured initially reported was as high as 30, but local officials later placed the number of injured at 6, including 2 firefighters.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is on the scene. Roads are shut down in the immediate area.
