An explosion at a mixed-use building in Manhattan caused a massive fire and a partial building collapse. A neighboring building also was damaged by fire.

Dozens of injuries have been reported, with up to four critically injured, according to fire officials.

The seven-alarm fire triggered multiple mayday alerts. There were no confirmed reports of firefighter injuries.

A gas leak is suspected to be the cause of the explosion.
