The 18-year-old freshman accused of killing one student and injuring three others at Northern Arizona University early Friday morning posed with guns frequently on social media, according to multiple news sources.

12 News and The Daily Beast reported that they have independently verified the Instagram page of alleged shooter Steven Jones. On the page being linked to Jones there are multiple images showing a young man posing with a variety of weapons.

In one image posted around the 4th of July, who is believed to be Jones is posing with a weapon while wearing patriotic clothing. The caption reads, "'Merica."

Jones reportedly used a handgun in the campus shooting. According to a court document, Jones says he retrieved the gun from his car after a fistfight and shot two people approaching him after he warned them he had a gun.
