Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, who is serving a 16-year sentence for having sex with multiple minors, appears to be turning to food for comfort in the slammer.
The tabloid magazine InTouch Weekly says it talked to a "prison insider," who said Fogle subsists on a diet of junk food and buys honey buns by the box. He sometimes eats eight of them in one sitting, and has packed on 30 pounds in jail.
Not surprisingly, the insider says Fogle has had trouble getting along with fellow inmates, who call him "Chomo" - short for "child molester."
Fogle became famous for his alleged Subway diet, which helped him lose 200 pounds. He became a celebrity pitchman for the company, but was arrested in 2015 in a sting that involved a reporter who recorded telephone conversations with Fogle in which he discussed sex with underage victims.
