Kroger grocery stores has issued a recall of certain packages of ground beef and ribeye steaks in the Greater Cincinnati area, including Dayton, Ohio, Southeastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky.

The meat could be contaminated with E. coli.

The recall only applies to the following products:

  • Bone-in ribeye steaks.
  • Boneless ribeye steaks
  • In-store produced ground beef with specific labels.

The meat could have been purchased between April 23 to June 7.

Store officials say customers should check their freezers to make sure they don't have any contaminated meat.

Any of the recalled beef should be returned to the store for a full refund.
