Recall alert: Chicken salad recalled due to listeria concerns

Lipari Foods has recalled varieties of the company's chicken salad products because of the potential contamination with listeria monocytogenes, the US Food and Drug Administration announced.

The company recall covers its Old Tyme Bulk Chicken Salad, Old Tyme Bulk Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad, Premo Chicken Salad Wedge Sandwiches, Fresh Grab Chicken Salad Wedge Sandwiches and Premo Signature Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad on Croissant.

The items were shipped to stores and foodservice companies in Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin, according to the FDA.

The products have the following UPC numbers and best by dates:

The items were shipped in late August but there have been no reported illnesses.
