If you thought your morning commute stunk, be thankful it wasn't held up by a massive raw sewage spill.

That's right: Frozen fecal matter spread across a ramp on I-65 in Indiana shut down the exit and snarled traffic on Thursday.

A waste management truck spilled 300-400 gallons of raw sewage on the road, according to a report.

Indiana state police sgt. Kim Riley said the waste was 6-9 inches deep on some sections of the road.

While the highway ramp was only shut down for a few hours, it took the Indiana Department of Transportation, Indiana Department of Environmental Management and the county health department to oversee the cleaning.

The cleaning took some extra time as some of the fecal matter had frozen over, causing a slick surface, described as a "toxic popsicle," on the ramp.
