The K-pop stars of BTS are taking a hiatus from the public eye.
Grammy.com reported that the band's management company, BigHit Entertainment, released a statement on Twitter Sunday announcing the musicians will take an extended break for the first time since debuting in 2013.
"BTS will be going on an official and extended period of rest and relaxation," the South Korean entertainment company said.
The band's performance at the Lotte Duty Free Family Concert in South Korea was its last before going on break, Deadline reported.
"This period of rest will be an opportunity for the members of BTS, who have relentlessly driven themselves towards their goal since their debut, to recharge and prepare to present themselves anew as musicians and creators," the statement said. "This will also provide them with a chance to enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20s, albeit briefly.
"During this time, the members will rest and recharge in their own personal ways.
"Should you have a chance encounter with a member of BTS while they are on vacation, we ask that you show consideration for their need to rest and enjoy their time off."
The statement concluded by assuring fans that the band will return recharged and refreshed.
BTS has soared to global stardom in the last year since hitting the mainstream U.S. market. EW.com reported its latest album, "Map of the Soul: Persona," was No. 1 on the Billboard 200 when it was released in March. The feat made the South Korean artists the first group since The Beatles to have three No. 1 albums in under a year.
In addition, the group's Love Yourself Speak Yourself tour has grossed more than $99 million worldwide. That tour's documentary, "Bring The Soul: The Movie," was the highest-grossing indie movie, according to The Wrap.
