Police saw three men who matched the description of the men, and when they tried to speak to them, two of the men ran.

Officers said they chased the pair into an alley where one of them pulled a gun. One officer shot and hit the person multiple times.

He was later identified as 13-year-old Tyree King. He was taken to a children's hospital, where he died, The AP reported.

Police said that the gun King was carrying was a BB gun with a laser sight attached.
