Police officer, infant killed in motorcycle vs car accident

An off-duty police officer riding his motorcycle was killed when he hit a car Saturday.

An infant in the car also died in the accident.

Off-duty police officer Jamell Dent was riding his motorcycle around 10:45 p.m. Saturday when he collided with a car, flipping onto its roof.

A couple and their infant were riding in the car. Both adults in the car are in critical condition.

The infant was rushed to the hospital, and was eventually pronounced dead.

DeKalb County police are investigating the cause of the crash.
