Police arrested a man after they said he tried to circumcise his 1-year-old nephew with a kitchen knife.
Larry Floyd was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon Saturday.
Police said Floyd was staying at the home where the child and his siblings were being babysat, when the babysitter saw Floyd leave a room where the baby was sleeping.
The witness told police he saw Floyd with a knife that had blood on it and had called police.
According to reports, the child’s father arrived home shortly after and Floyd told the father he was trying to circumcise the boy.
The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
