A Tennessee woman was arrested after police said she attacked another woman with an ax because she hugged her boyfriend, according to WTVC-TV in Chattanooga.
According to the police report, the victim said she was saying goodbye to a friend at a homeless camp when Juanita Chappell, 34, found an ax and “told everyone to watch out.” Chappell said the woman was hugging her boyfriend “intimately,” People reports.
Police said the unidentified victim had a gash on her head and was missing several teeth after Chappell hit her with the broad side of the ax, according to People. She was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and attempted first-degree murder.
