A man was arrested in Tampa, Florida, on Monday after police say he used a taxi as his getaway car in a bank robbery, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Robert Levantini, 34, of Ocala, took a cab to a SunTrust bank around 11 a.m., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. He first checked his bank account at the outside ATM, then walked inside and robbed the bank by handing a teller a note, the sheriff's office said.
Police said he left in the same cab with an unknown amount of money and went to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Levantini changed taxis at the casino and went to a bank to deposit the stolen money, deputies said. He then went to a hotel, where he was later arrested on a robbery charge.
