A man pulled a gun on a Casselberry barber Saturday night after asking him for a job, the Casselberry Police Department said.

The man walked into Touch Up's Barbershop on State Road 436, near Jasmine Road, at about 10:30 p.m. to ask the manager for a job, said Casselberry police Cpl. James Hennessey.

When the man was denied a job, he threatened the manager and pulled out a gun, Hennessey said.

A witness escorted the man out of the barbershop and called police.

The man then fled in a car before being found less than a mile away an hour later, Hennessey said.

The man sideswiped a car, struck a light pole, crashed into a parked pickup truck and then flipped over into a front yard at South Winter Park Road and Jasmine Drive, police said.

“He totaled it. It's done,” said Chris Glisson, the truck’s owner. “It was sitting in the driveway, and it’s smashed beyond repair now."

The suspect wasn’t publicly identified.

No one was injured.
