Massachusetts' highest court is preparing to hear the case of an atheist couple's challenge to the required recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in school.  Specifically, they are against the phrase "under God."

The case, Doe v. Action-Boxborough Regional School District, will begin on Wednesday.  The court will rule on whether the Pledge of Allegiance violates students' rights.

This case is different from others concerning the pledge and the "under God"  phrase.  This time, lawyers say the compulsory rule to recite "under God"  represents an injury to the state's equal rights laws.
