While the amalgamation of fried, salted drive-thru food seems no-holds barred, Lai had some ground rules for it to be considered a successful cake; It had to be made all from fast food, in this case the suppliers were Dominos, KFC and McDonalds; Like a cake, it had to hold itself together, slice neatly and have aesthetic appeal.

Lai said it fed about 10 people.

"Overall, it was a success in my eyes and everyone else's eyes (and stomachs)," Lai wrote. "I'd like to leave this out there for inspiration for others to top, with improved heights and grander designs."
