When the shelter posted of picture of the unique pup, it went viral, but after more than 1,000 people wanting to adopt Rami, shelter officials say he's not available for a new home, that he's already found his "furever home".

Rami will stay at the shelter as a sort of ambassador.

Shelter organizers hope Rami's story will encourage more people to adopt animals in need.
