Pop singer Pink has earned her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday.
The Grammy award-winning singer will be recognized under the recording category and will receive the Walk of Fame's 2,656th star in a Feb. 5 ceremony, Billboard reported.
Ellen Degeneres and actress Kerri Kenney-Silver will help honor Pink at the ceremony. Rana Ghadban, the president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, will emcee the event.
“We are thrilled to honor one of the world’s most popular entertainers, Pink!” said Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez in a statement. “She is a unique performer who leaves you in a state of joy and surprise at the same time. She mesmerizes the audience with her voice and her action-packed performances! Fans worldwide will join us in droves in Hollywood to see her honored on her special Walk of Fame day.”
Pink, 39, entered the music industry in 1995 as part of the all-girl R&B group Choice. She began her solo career in 2000 with her album, "Can't Take Me Home," which went double platinum, according to Variety.
Since 2000, Pink has won three Grammys, three Billboard Music Awards, seven MTV Video Music Awards, two People’s Choice Awards, two MTV Europe Video Music Awards, one Daytime Emmy, and was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year in 2013 -- among other accolades.
Pink’s 2017 album, “Beautiful Trauma,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album is nominated for best pop vocal album and her single “What About Us” is nominated for best pop solo at this year’s Grammys.
The singer is also active in various charities, like Autism Speaks and the Human Rights Campaign, Variety reported.
The ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m. PST on Feb. 5 and will be live streamed exclusively at http://www.walkoffame.com.
