Photos: Supermoon brightens night sky

It has been nearly 70 years since the Earth has seen a moon as big as the one that is lighting up the night sky. It is known as a supermoon and will The brightest moon in almost 69 years will be lighting up the sky this week in a treat for star watchers around the globe as it is the closest it has been to the planet since January 1948.
