Here are some notable train accidents in the United States.

2015 - Philadelphia train derailment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 2008 - Chatsworth train collision in Los Angeles, California. 2005 - Glendale train crash in Glendale/Los Angeles, CA. 1999 - Bourbonnais, Illinois, train accident in Bourbonnais, Illinois. 1996 - Maryland train collision in Silver Spring, Maryland. 1995 - Palo Verde, Arizona derailment in Palo Verde, Arizona. There were 78 injured and 1 death. - HYDER, UNITED STATES: Rescue workers and vehicles assist at the site of the Amtrak Sunset Limited train after it derailed 60 miles southwest of Phoenix 09 October. The derailment which claimed one life and over 60 wounded is believed to be an act of sabotage. US officals are calling the derailment an act of revenge by rightwing domestic terrorists.
