There's no bond quite like a father-daughter relationship. A simple black-and-white photo captured that special bond between a Florida deputy and his 5-year-old daughter.
The St. John County Sheriff's Office shared the candid picture of Deputy Melvin Lewis' daughter giving him a kiss before he headed off to work on the department's Facebook page.
The Sheriff's Office said "one proud momma" sent them the snapshot, which was taken just before Lewis walked out the door.
"This is our daughter sending her favorite person in the whole world, her daddy (Deputy Lewis), off to work for the night shift with goodnight kisses," the Facebook post reads.
The woman said their daughter always gives her father a goodnight kiss when he works the night shift.
"Her world stops and starts with her daddy," the woman wrote.
