The Orlando Eye, open for less than a week, was temporarily shut down Sunday, according to officials with the attraction.
The wheel was experiencing stoppages and that it was a minor issue, officials said. The ride was shut down for about an hour so crews could investigate. It took about 20 minutes to get everyone off the ride.
A spokesperson said they had to get riders off to maintain a smooth ride, and that it wasn't a safety issue.
Guests were told they could wait until the next flight or get a refund if they had plans to leave town Sunday night or Monday.
Guests staying in the area were issued a raincheck.
People who were looking forward to going on the attraction took to twitter to express their frustration, saying they were about to board when they were told to leave the platform.
The Orlando Eye opened May 4.
