An Oregon man is behind bars on allegations that he raped and sexually abused a baby.

According to the Oregonian, police arrested Edd S. Lahar, 30, of Corvallis, last week after receiving a tip that his cellphone contained child porn. When officers searched his home, they "uncovered numerous incidents of sex crimes" against a baby girl, police said in a Facebook post.

Prosecutors believe Lahar sexually assaulted the infant last summer and recorded the incidents, the Oregonian reported.

Lahar was booked Thursday at the Benton County Jail on multiple sex charges, including first-degree rape, sodomy and sexual abuse, the newspaper reported. His bail was set at $6.7 million.
