Mark Landry has gotten a lot of attention on social media for his musical talent. Landry, who is homeless, is often heard playing his violin in the Montreal Metro Transit system.

According to CBC, a resident's Facebook post said Landry's violin was recently stolen. The post was shared, and soon members of the Orchestre Métropolitain helped buy the man a new violin.

On Tuesday, they agreed to give the instrument to Landry.

"When we heard what happened to you, we contacted our friends at Maison du Violin...and we decided to give you back your joie-de-vivre and give you back the opportunity to do what it is you do best, which allows you to earn a small living," Jean Dupré, president of L'Orchestre Métropolitain, told Landry.

A video posted to Twitter shows a shop worker testing out the new violin for Landry.
