Officer Timo Rosenthal was on a uniformed break Thursday, went to the restaurant and was handed the burger with the derogatory drawing, KRQE reported.

"I ordered food at Burger King and received this," Rosenthal wrote in a post with the image. "The patties were burnt and the burger was of very poor quality. Guess that was the last time I ate at Burger King in Clovis, NM."

The five employees involved were fired and Rosenthal and other officers were offered free meals, the restaurant said.

"When made aware of the incident, the restaurant owner immediately reached out to the officer involved to apologize and terminated the team members involved," restaurant officials told Fox News.
