Daly, 29, had just gotten married to her husband, Paul. In the summer of 2015, she started to feel an an ache in her muscle. She thought it was a pulled muscle.

She underwent physiotherapy, but when things only got worse, she underwent a series of tests, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The tests revealed that Daly had an aggressive form of melanoma. In December, just two months after her diagnosis, Daly died of the disease.

According to Today.com, her funeral was held at the same church where she married Paul a year-and-a-half earlier.

"Clare had the ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the world when she was with you," her loved ones recall on the Clare Daly Foundation website. "She was, is, genuinely adored by everyone that knew her."

Loved ones say Daly took caution to stay out of the sun. Friends say she regularly wore long sleeves and hats while at the beach and advised everyone to do the same.
