A 59-year-old New Jersey man was arrested on Wednesday after the Beach Haven Police Department said he was reportedly seen at the beach in a see-through bikini made of plastic wrap.

Stephen Wojciehowski, 59, was allegedly observed by several witnesses on Ocean Street Beach over a two-day period wearing a homemade bikini made out of plastic wrap that left parts of his body "clearly exposed," the Beach Haven Police Department said in a Facebook post. Police said an investigation into the allegations began on Sept. 14 and Wojciehowski was arrested on Sept. 26.

He was charged with lewdness and released last week pending future court proceedings. In the post, the police department said "Charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty."
