We've had the hard lemonade, and other seemingly plain drinks that have an extra kick, but a small brewery hopes it has the next big thing for a hot summer day.
Small Town Brewery from Illinois has come up with a root beer craft beer.
It's called Not Your Father's Root Beer and it's exactly that - a root beer with a heavy 10.7 percent alcohol by volume when on tap. When bottled, The Chicago Tribune reported, it has only 5.9 percent.
It won't be one of those special, seasonal brews. According to Small Town Brewery, it will be available year round.

Some who tasted it for WJBQ said it tastes just like the root beer, with a slight taste of beer, that for some is hardly noticeable. It was also sweet. Others said on Beer Advocate it that it did not taste enough like traditional root beer for them.
