WSBTV.com reported Sunday that investigators are looking into a suspicious fire that tore through a Clayton County home.

Neighbor Joy Wyly said she heard noises and saw smoke coming from the home on Riverdale's Ray Street and quickly sprang into action.

Wyly said she knew her neighbor’s brother was in a wheelchair and was in the home alone. She pulled the man from the home, and he was taken to the hospital.

“A mother’s instinct, of course. But by it being a neighbor, it’s a normal reaction – helping, saving people,” Wyly said.

Investigators are working to figure out the cause of the fire.

Thanks to the Red Cross, the family of four who lived in the home is now staying in a hotel.
