Kelsey Nobles, of Mobile, Alabama had just finished her final physical fitness test Tuesday when she collapsed, Al.com reported. Nobles was taken to a civilian hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Nobles' father, Harold Nobles, told WKRG-TV that the Navy has promised the family a full investigation.

"The Navy, and Recruit Training Command, take the welfare of our recruits and Sailors very seriously and are investigating the cause of this tragic loss," Recruit Training Command spokesman Lt. Joseph Pfaff told The Navy Times. "Our thoughts are with Seaman Recruit Nobles' family and friends during this tragic time."

Nobles' death is the second to happen in recent months under similar circumstances at the Navy's boot camp. On Feb. 22, 20-year-old Kierra Evans of Louisiana collapsed and died during the final phase of her running test, The Times reported.

The investigation into the cause of Evans’ death is ongoing, Lake County, Illinois, Coroner Howard Cooper told The Times.
