NASA's Antares rocket exploded on launch this evening from the Wallops Island Flight Facility in Virginia just before 6:30 p.m.

The rocket held a cargo craft containing more than 5,000 pounds of supplies for the International Space Station.

NASA is still investigating the situation and has not yet provided any updates.
