A New Jersey town wants to get to the bottom of a strange peeping Tom case.
Police said a man is peering through windows in Hillsborough Township and those who have caught a glimpse of the man, said he was mostly naked, wearing only a black wig, black shoes and a bandanna, WNBC reported.
What could be worse is that he was caught on surveillance video on Nov. 1, WCBS reported. Somerset County prosecutor's office said he was doing the dab, or putting his head in the crook of his arm.
Kyle Kauffman, who lives in the area, said he wasn't sure what he saw when he saw the naked man running, WNBC reported.
“It looked like he was on drugs, he was running through backyards,” Kauffman told WNBC.
And it isn’t the first time the unidentified person was seen in the community. Police believe the same person is seen in video recorded in September. He may also be the same man who was seen in Somerset County in July and another time in September.
One woman confronted the man who was naked and hiding in her shrubs.
"I yelled, 'What are you doing?' And he kind of froze and turned around, trying to move away obviously," the unidentified woman told WNBC.
She said the man didn’t say a word that time.
Now police are trying to learn the identity of the man who has the community on edge. They said they don't believe it's only a prank, WNBC reported.
"It's going to be tough to creep around naked in 40-degree weather," Brian Sauers, a resident of the township, told WCBS.
