KPTV reports that neighbors called police when they saw a man strolling around the area in the buff, carrying a knife. There were also reports of a man assaulting a family member.

Responders found Helmsworth outside his house, but they said he refused to drop the knife. During the two-hour standoff, Helmsworth went into his home. He then re-emerged wearing a pair of shorts and playing the banjo.

He strummed until officers disarmed him with non-lethal methods.

The musical mischief man now sits in jail, presumably clothed and charged with assault.

There is no word on which songs he played.
