A mother says she’s lucky to be alive after a bizarre crash in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.

On Wednesday a woman was driving her kids to school when a wheel and axle came loose on a pickup truck travelling in the opposite direction.

She told WNEP that the wheel flew into the air and crashed through the windshield. The axle stopped inches short of crushing the woman's head.

“That’s something you see in a movie. That’s like ‘Final Destination,'” said David Duchnik, who towed the SUV after the crash.

The woman wants to remain anonymous. She says the one thing that may have saved her life was that her teenage son was driving her SUV the night before, so the seat was farther back than normal. Those few inches may have made all the difference.
