A couple at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center welcomed their baby boy Sunday shortly before the Napa earthquake struck.

According to St. Joseph Health System, Connie Navarro and Angel Sanchez’s son Ismael Sanchez was born at 2:37 a.m.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces at birth and measured 21 inches long.

Both parents were at the baby's side when the earthquake rattled the hospital around 3:20 a.m.

Connie Navarro and Angel Sanchez said, “We’re grateful that our baby son and all of us are safe, and for our doctor and the hospital staff who cared for us before and after the earthquake. They were great.”
