A Florida woman successfully fought off two would-be carjackers with her bare hands while her two small children were inside her vehicle.
Surveillance video captured the dramatic scene at a Florida gas station.
After their first attempt at carjacking failed, the suspects turned their sights on a red convertible. When one suspect tried to get into the driver’s seat, the car’s owner fought back, throwing the man out of her vehicle which contained her 1-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son.
Both suspects escaped in a getaway car, which crashed after a brief police chase.
Nicholas Rosado, 19, Rebecca Utria, 21, and an unidentified 17-year-old male were arrested, according to ABC 7. Police said Utria served as the getaway driver while the two males attempted the carjacking.
The mother and her children were not hurt. The mother's bravery is being lauded on social media.
