According to KCCI, Des Moines resident Hallie Amick, 30, was arrested Monday on child endangerment and drug possession charges. She was released from jail Tuesday.

Police were called to the scene after an officer pulled over James Robinson, Amick's boyfriend, for speeding, KCCI reports. Robinson reportedly told the officer that he was in a hurry to get home because a child was alone at the house. There, police said they found the boy in the backyard with the frozen chicken in his mouth, wearing a "full and sagging" diaper. A terrier was jumping on the boy in an attempt to get the frozen meat, police said.

Police also found a marijuana pipe, stems and "blunts" in the house, KCCI reports.
