Mom: Beat gay out of your brother

A mother is accused of telling her 12-year-old son to beat his older brother to keep him from "becoming" homosexual. Mary Gowans of Whiteville, N.C. is facing misdemeanor child abuse charges over the allegations.

She reportedly admitted to beating her 15-year-old herself because the teen visited the home of a man she believed to be gay.
