Apparently, a member of the military whose service in Kuwait came to an end and he wanted something to remember his tour of duty does, The Associated Press reported.

The Transportation Security Administration said one of its officers saw the missile launcher in a man's checked luggage Monday as he was on his way home to Texas from the Middle East, the AP reported.

The item was military grade and was not a live device, the TSA said, according to the Washington Examiner.

Even though it was not live at the time, the launcher, along with any other military weapons, was not allowed in checked or carryon bags, the Examiner reported.

The missile launcher was turned over to the state fire marshal who will dispose of it safely.

The man was allowed to get on his connecting flight home after he was questioned, WJZ reported.

They also have a suggestion for the man, "Perhaps he should have picked up a keychain instead," the Examiner reported.
