The Boca Raton mansion that made headlines last year for its elaborately-designed home theater modeled after the deck of the starship Enterprise is off the market.
The 27,000-square-foot mansion was delisted last week after about a year of heavy marketing, including a spot on CNBC’s “Secret Lives of the super rich.”
According to the
, entrepreneur Marc Bell built the unique home with eight bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. He took the home off the market to switch agents.
Equipped with three full bars, a 1,500-bottle wine cellar, library, gym and full basketball/volleyball court, Bell’s home is “all about living and entertaining on a very grand scale,” a press release from last year said.
But it was the Star Trek theater that seemed to draw the most attention with its exact replica of the bridge of the Enterprise from Star Trek Next Generation.
Bell said he built the house on two lots he acquired in 2002. The home was finished in 2006. A Palm Beach County Property Appraiser record that shows a $7 million sale price from 2011 is misleading, Bell said, because that was actually the transfer of the property between two Bell entities.
