For those who were mourning the loss of a basic, but beloved computer painting program, there's good news. Microsoft says it will be keeping its popular Paint program, The Guardian reported.

Complaints hit social media after Microsoft announced that it was depreciating the 32-year-old drawing program, signaling its potential future demise. The company announced that the program will be available via download in the Windows Store. The download will be free.

Paint is being replaced by Paint 3D in the Windows 10 Creators Update. Microsoft said that Paint 3D has many of the same tools used for photo editing and the line and curve tools.
