Anjali Ramkissoon made headlines when a video of her drunkenly attacking an Uber driver downtown went viral.

Ramkissoon called an Uber to get home but got in the wrong driver's car. When he told her he was not her driver, she got angry and belligerent, slapping the man and trying to kick him in the groin.

She demanded that the Uber driver, who was waiting on someone else, drive her to her home.

And it was all caught on video.

The driver pushed Ramkissoon to the ground to stop her from getting physical with him, and Ramkissoon got back in passenger's seat of the car and dumped the driver's belongings onto the street.

The video has over 5 million views.

The fourth-year resident with the Jackson Health System at the University of Miami is now on administrative leave from her job and suspended from using Uber.

Ramkissoon took the time to speak to ABC News about the incident.

She said when she looked at the video, she is ashamed and still can't watch it in full.

Ramkissoon said the incident was a culmination of events that day. Her father was hospitalized, and her boyfriend of two years broke up with her.

"He went home, and I was there by myself," Ramkissoon said. "I knew that I had a few drinks. I had actually driven to that place that night, but I did not want to drive my car home. So I left my car there, and that's why I tried to get the Uber to get home."

Ramkissoon said she knows there are no excuses for her actions, and that she hurt her family, friends, job and the Uber driver because of it.

She said she settled with the Uber driver, while she waited for her actual driver to arrive. She apologized and paid for the damages to his car.

"I'm so thankful that he did not press charges, that he did not have me arrested. I'm grateful."

But Ramkissoon's family is also being targeted because of her actions. She said her family's home address has been leaked, and she has gotten death threats online.

"I've received messages that I should kill myself, that I should've been raped that night. I think it's ridiculous."

She admits she was out of line and repeatedly said she was remorseful.

"In the moment, I was just so angry, and if I could take it back I would," Ramkissoon said. "I had a bad night. I made a huge mistake. The biggest mistake of my life. That person is not me."
