A massive sinkhole is threatening homes in an Ocala neighborhood Thursday.
Marion County Fire Rescue officials said the hole was caused by a water main break Wednesday night.
The hole in the middle of the neighborhood and is believed to measure about 20 feet by 30 feet.
The sinkhole has eaten up shrubs that were next to a porch of a home.
Several houses were evacuated as a precaution.
Fire officials and Marion County Utilities crews are working to stabilize the 12-inch water main.
