Lesssssson learned: Selfies with rattlesnakes are a bad idea.
Todd Fassler of San Diego learned the hard way after trying to pose with a rattlesnake. Apparently, he didn't get the rattlesnake's good side, and the reptile bit back, sending Fassler to the hospital.
According to KGTV, services rendered Fassler came out to an astonishing $153,161.25.
The biggest item on that bill: pharmacy, which KGTV reports comes from Fassler's treatment. He reportedly received anti-venom from two local hospitals, depleting their supply.
Perhaps his attempt at a selfie was because he was missing his old pet. Turns out Fassler used to have a pet rattlesnake, but he let it go in the wild because he thought animal services would appreciate it.
