A man who entered a restricted area at Ohio's Cedar Point amusement park to look for a lost cellphone was struck and killed by a roller coaster, officials said Thursday.
The Erie County coroner said the victim, a man in his mid-40s, went into a fenced area Thursday evening and was hit by a ride called the Raptor.
Cedar Point's website says the Raptor travels at speeds up to 57 mph.
The park in Sandusky confirmed the guest's death in a statement on its Twitter account and Facebook page.
