An 88-year-old Ohio man was indicted on felony charges for firing a gun at a woman who is accused of snatching the man's lottery tickets.

Jene Cook was indicted for felonious assault and discharge of a firearm, both with a three-year gun specification, on Friday — exactly one month aftere the Nov. 4 incident — by a Montgomery County grand jury.

He is accused of shooting at Rashima White, 37, who was indicted on two felony charges of theft from an elderly or disabled person in the same incident, the grand jury report released Friday shows.

Cook and White have both been held in the Montgomery County Jail since their Nov. 4 arrests and are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, online jail records show.

In the November incident, Cook fired three shots at a fleeing White after she allegedly stole four lottery tickets from him.

The shots did not strike White or anyone else, according to officers.
