One Australian man might want to put up some monitors in his home and some cameras outside so he can keep an eye on what gigantic monitor lizards are doing.
Eric Holland walked outside his Sydney, Australia house this week and saw this.
"A bloody big shock mate," he said. "I nearly trod on the bloody thing."
“I was just doing a repair job in my shed when I opened the door and I saw this huge thing run across the ground and out of sight,” he added.
The creature is known as a lace goanna, which is a member of the monitor lizard family. It was five feet long.
