Man drives through wildfire, gets it on video

One man made a daring drive through a wildfire in Anderson Springs, California, and fortunately, he captured it on video.

In a series of short videos posted on September 15, the YouTube channel "mulletFive," the driver races past burning trees and brush. The video titled "Heading toward Middletown on through Valley Fire" shows the driver passing a burning propane tank around 1:20.

The original post can be found here.

The Guardian described the adventure as a "daring escape" in its Facebook post, which included a cut-together video that used the originally posted videos.

USA Today similarly described it as a "terrifying escape," but stated that it "cannot independently verify the video."

The wildfire is still burning, and KCRA Sacremento reports that 585 homes have been destroyed, displacing 10,000 people. The fire is only 10 percent contained, with around 62,000 acres burned.
